Here we are…parents are wrestling with at virtual home learning with their kids, work at their jobs, and just try and keep some balance. Looking at home projects probably isn’t on the top of anyone’s list. However, I find that having some creative endeavor on my list of things to do keeps ME in balance when everything else seems to be out of balance.
Fall is a beautiful time to get outside with the kids and visit your farmer’s pumpkin patch, drink his cider and explore the farm. Find a local farm for some fun weekend activities. Pick up pumpkins in all different sizes, shapes and colors and stack them on your porch with some pots or baskets of mums.
TIP: Put things at different heights to add visual interest and excitement.
Winter might be around the corner, but let us enjoy the colors and warmth of Fall…the smell of soup cooking and fires in the fireplace.
Collect branches of fall color and put in a big pitcher, make an arrangement of different colors of pumpkins on your dining table, throw in some colorful gourds and squash.
Consider making a pumpkin pie with your kids or friends, pumpkin pancakes, and caramel dipped apples.
Enjoy the color and glory of the season you’re in.
Take a break, slow down and make time to embrace the season in all its glory and color. Take a hike, ride your bike.
Enjoy!
